Financial Audit Log
Every meaningful change to an invoice or expense is recorded to an append-only audit trail — who did what, and when. It exists for compliance and dispute resolution, not day-to-day workflow.
What Gets Logged

Where to Find It
- Per invoice: open any invoice's detail page and expand the Audit Trail section near the bottom — it shows only the entries for that invoice.
- Organization-wide: go to Finance → Audit Log to see every financial audit entry across all projects and invoices in one place.
Reading an Entry
Each entry shows the action taken and the name of the person who took it. For edit actions, ACOS shows a before → after comparison limited to the fields that actually changed — you won't see noise from unrelated fields like timestamps or IDs. For created and deleted entries, it shows a snapshot of the record at that moment instead of a diff.
Access
The audit log is available to Admins and Owners. It is gated to the Scale plan — Starter and Growth organizations do not have access to Finance → Audit Log or the per-invoice Audit Trail section.
The audit log is append-only by design. There is no edit or delete action for the log itself — that's what makes it usable as a compliance record. If you need to correct a mistake, make the correcting change in the invoice or expense itself; the log will show both the original and the correction.
FAQ
Can I export the audit log?
There is currently no dedicated export button for the audit log. Use Settings → Data & Privacy for a full organization data export, which includes underlying invoice and expense history.
Does the audit log cover CRM or project changes?
No — it's scoped to financial events on invoices and expenses only. Deal, contact, project, and task history are not part of this log.
Can a Manager see the audit log?
No. Access is limited to Admins and Owners on the Scale plan.
